2025 Player Trials (Parkville)

Trial registrations for STNC 2025 (Parkville) are now closed. We look forward to seeing all that have registered on Sunday.

All players MUST have registered for trials to be considered for placement in 2025. 

Team offers and placements are determined solely by the STNC coaches and committee.

Please be aware that completing registration and attending trials does not guarantee a team placement for 2025.

All players wishing to trial for two groups must have completes the trial form for each group and as such they will need to attend both group sessions trials.

Venue - State Netball Centre, Brens Drive, Parkville

Registrations are now closed. Due to pre-work required for trials to run smoothly no further registrations will be accepted.


11 & Under - 12.30pm until 1.30pm 
13 & Under - 1.30pm until 3pm 
15 & Under - 3pm until 4.30pm 
17 & Under - 4.30pm until 6pm 
Opens - 6pm until 7.30pm

Closing date for Trial Registration is 5pm Sunday November 10, 2024.

You will be asked to nominate your preferred 2 positions for trials.

​

All trials will run for approximately 90 minutes, with the exception of 11 & Under which will run for 1 hour.

​

St Therese’s invites both girls and boys to trial for our U11 and U13 teams.

​

Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your session for registration and numbering.

FAQ's

1. How do I register for trials?
To register, please complete the online registration by clicking "Register Here"next to the age group above. 
2. What should I bring to the trials?
Please bring water, a towel, and any personal equipment (e.g., knee pads, braces). All players trialling are to wear a white top and black or navy pants/shorts.
3. What can I expect during the trials?
Trials typically involve skill assessments, position-specific drills and match play. Our coaches assess a range of skills, including fitness, footwork, game sense, and teamwork.
4. How long does each trial session last?
Trial sessions will run for approximately 90 mins (11&Under 60 minutes), but please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and number assignment. Warm-up will be a part of each session.
5. How are selections made?
Selections are based on skill level, attitude, and fit within the team. The coaching staff and selection committee will evaluate each player's performance across multiple areas.
6. Will all players be selected for a team?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee placement for all players. Selection is competitive, and spots are offered based on performance during trials.
7. When will I know if I’ve been selected?
We aim to notify players within 10 days of the final trial session. Notifications will be sent via email.
8. Do I need to attend a trial session?
Attending a trial sessions is strongly encouraged, as it allows coaches to see consistent performance. If you cannot attend a session, please inform us in advance.
9. What if I have an injury before or during trials?
If you’re injured before trials, please contact us to discuss options. If you get injured during trials, let our medical staff know immediately, and they’ll assess your ability to continue.
10. What if I am unable to attend trials due to other commitments?
If you’re unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, please reach out to us via email to info@stnc.com.au to discuss any alternative arrangements.
11. What happens after trials if I'm selected?
Selected players will receive an offer email with a link for acceptance. Once a player has accepted the offer position they will then be sent a Registration email, including a link to register to their team for the 2025 season.
12. Are parents allowed to watch the trials?
We welcome parents to support, but to reduce distractions, we may have designated areas for parents to observe.

13. Where do I find my Netball ID/Registration Number?This number can be found in Netball Connect under the players Full Profile. It is the number under their name.

14. How do the age groups work?Players ages are worked at by their age as at 31st December 2025. The example is if the player turns 14 on the 15th December 2025 they will need to play in 15&Under division or higher.

15. Do I need register if I can not attend the trial session? As a part of our trial process all players wishing to apply to play for STNC, at Parkville, in 2025 are required to register for the trials. For those who are unable to attend the trial date we will make arrangements for those players to be individually assessed at either training or match days.
